This private one-off house in Surrey was based on a 'Lutyens' design, the traditional design was requested by the local planning authority as the street was required to maintain a 'special character'. The client had originally requested a very modern designed house but this was rejected by the local authority and at appeal. The traditional design of the house is not reflected internally as the interior is very modern with high ceilings and large clean open spaces.
