Riverside Residence, Esher
This project started life as an extension and refurbishment project but it didn’t give our clients the ‘wow’ factor they required, especially as the existing house had low ceiling heights and a relatively insignificant hallway. It was decided to demolish the house and construct a new circa 4000 sq.ft house in a similar vein to our previous projects which suited the road well and addressed the river with lots of glass at both levels.
The clients were particularly influenced by industrial design and our involvement became interior design as well as architectural and was a successful collaboration between all parties. The double height kitchen space has a ‘wine wall’ dividing the hallway and kitchen with a stunning view from the landing above.
